This clip is a preview of a new documentary that the NCFIC is producing about the fall-out of the modern youth group movement. It is very thought provoking.

Thank you for posting this clip. My husband and I feel very strongly that God places the responsibility for spiritually training our children on the parents, not the church. Our churches run like our government school system–and neither system works.

Thank you so much for sharing this! I”m eager for this documentary to come out. I’ve been aware of the problem of age segregation in churches for only a short time, but have been wanting someone to write a book or make a documentary about it… so excited about this!
Blessings,
Kate

As the wife to a youth pastor – and partner in this ministry… this was intriguing and thought provoking to watch. I plan on sharing it and will be on the look out for future posts on the topic. Thanks!

Wow. After the wonderful trailer, I’m left speechless! I just found out about this new documentary the other day when I was visiting NCFIC’s site, and was so excited to find out about this new project. For me, this hits close to home. As I shared with you a little when my family and I were visiting your dear family last year, I was in a (what today is considered) “traditional” Southern Baptist church youth group from the time I was 12 to when I was 14. I’ve experienced first hand the problems that are associated with modern day youth ministry and the evolutionary age segregation that goes along with it. I could go on and on, but suffice it to say that I praise the Lord every day for delivering me out of that environment. Since I’ve left it (through the Lord leading my father to in turn lead us to a family integrated church), my relationship with the Lord has deepened so very much. He’s changed me in countless ways, and the cry of my heart is that He (through this documentary) would deliver countless other young men and women who find themselves in the same place I was.
Thank you for sharing this with us, Mrs. Brookshire! :)
Have a blessed day in the Lord,
Rebekah

I am a huge fan of Family Integrated Churches. I love that they are working on a documentary. I feel like I am a loss for words when asked to explain why I don’t think Youth Groups are good for our children. This is a helpful tool. It sounds a lot like the book Already Gone by Ken Ham.
